Movie: Atonement

~ Guys, take your girl to this movie for brownie points and you might be surprised to find yourself enjoying it as well.

In the tradition of The Notebook this movie ends up as a real tear-jerker, though (for the boys) there is Keirer Knightly sopping wet in a silky undergarment so some might say it’s better on that premise. The pace is a bit slow at the start and it feels a bit like just a bunch of stuff happening with not so much direction but this changes and all the events happily tie together into a neat story.

The sound/music deserves mention as it caught my attention from the beginning and became a prominent emblem of the underlying theme. Also the story-telling through cinematography was a strong point and kept things interesting from the beginning.

I guessed the ending earlier than I would have wanted though.
