The title was lovingly rendered in 3D to compliment the “imaginary real location” paradigm that was adopted for the page design and layout.

John Mongard Landscape Architects (JMLA) carry out the majority of its projects in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams of artists, artisans and other professionals, forging new ways of placemaking and leading Queensland’s push towards culturally appropriate development.

The “landscape orientation” concept present a design and technical challenge but has proved to be a valuable idea.

Jumping Ship Productions is an events management business focused on managing artists, musicians and of course events. The name provided an opportunity for some emotive design work as well as a very fun logo.

20/20 films is a up and coming film production company based in Sydney, Australia. They produce projects from promotional videos for small business to documentaries, live music events, internet clips, and even video resumes. The concept was to keep the site clean and simple and to incorporate the scriptwriters look through typography. The splashes of colour in the menu show off the artistic flare under this refined, minimal design.

Ben Claremont provided his own lovingly crafted logo idea which was enhanced and remains a very strong icon.

KDE news: “The Dot”

KDE news: “The Dot” is a linux community website for KDE – the desktop package. You can read about KDE new design mention and comments and I would like to thank Kyle Cunningham and Nuno Pinheiro for critiquing and polishing my visual design of the site. I took this project from the visual redesign of the old The Dot site to a fully functional Drupal theme for the community to add to and build upon.

The main idea I had was to keep the layout simple as, being a news site, the main focus is the textual content. This sparseness of the design helps make any icons / images really pop off the page without clashing and keeping everything easy to read.
